1972 BMW 2002tii

A beautiful refurb - a 1972 BMW 2002

This 2002 isn’t up for sale yet but it’s in the works.
She has less than 20,000 miles and looks clean enough to only have a couple thousand on the books. The car runs like a dream and I enjoyed driving her and experiencing that four speed.

She was previously on BringATrailer sold for $66,000 and the write-up mentioned this:
“This 1972 BMW 2002tii is one of 422 US-market examples built in 1971 and was acquired as a partially-completed project out of West Virginia by the current owner in April 2014. A subsequent mechanical and cosmetic refurbishment included a rebuild of its numbers-matching 2.0-liter inline-four, as well as a repaint in Chamonix White, rechromed bumpers and trim, a reupholstered tan interior, and refreshment of the brakes and suspension. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission, and additional equipment includes 15” Panasport wheels, Bilstein shocks, a front strut brace, and a Sony CD stereo.
The body was repainted in Chamonix White during current ownership, and work also included rechroming the bumpers, installing replacement trim and rubber, and removing the US-market side markers.
The cabin features reupholstered tan vinyl sport seats from an E21, along with a matching rear seat and door panels. Replacement black carpets were fitted along with a new headliner, and additional equipment includes a heater, wood shift knob, and a Sony CD stereo.”
